Culture & Nature

Our guesthouse is located in Szilvásvárad, next to the Calvinist Round Church, which is unique in the country. The former Keglevich-Pallavicini Château and its park, the local history exhibition of the Orbán House with the Archeopark, the Lipizzan Stud Farm and the Lipizzan Exhibition are a few minutes' walk from the house, and in fifteen minutes you can reach the entrance to the picturesque Szalajka Valley with the Forest Railway. There are many hiking trails in and around the Szalajka Valley, which can even take you up to the Bükk Plateau. But the surrounding villages and the region also offer many natural and historical attractions.

Our story

We became the owners of the house in Szilvásvárad in 2009. The building, which had undergone the "modernization wave" of the 1970s, had been uninhabited for several years and was in a very dilapidated state waiting to regain its original, early-century appearance.
